Joanne K. O. Shimada has been a financial advisor since 1993. She provides a holistic approach to financial planning. She starts with a unique plan designed for client’s specific needs and then seeks the right blend of strategic and tactical asset allocation.

Joanne studied Economics at Western Sydney University before completing her BBA in International Business at the University of Hawaii. Joanne earned the AIF® Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies . The AIF Designation certifies she has specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards of care and their application to the investment management process.

An advocate for special needs children and the local community, Joanne volunteers and serves on local non-profit and not for profit organizations. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, she currently lives in Kaneohe with her two children and menagerie of pets.
